A wave of nervousness and fear was swept away through a busy mall in Qatar, after a siren of wind, suddenly seemed to be between a missile barrage report in the region. Shopkeepers and employees were seen running to get out, taking shelter in shops and searching for loved ones in anarchy.
The phenomenon occurred as an increase in regional tension, inspiring the emergency protocols to be active in some parts of the country. Eyewitnesses described the scene as “terrible”, which was echoing as a siren through the mall, with many uncertain.
Officials responded rapidly, secured the area and worked to restore the order. There was no immediate injury inside the mall, and the authorities confirmed that there were a precautionary measures in response to the missile activity found near Siren pass.
Qatar’s internal ministry has urged residents and visitors to remain calm, follow official updates and avoid spreading unacceptable information online.
Security attendance in major public places as a precaution has been increased, and emergency services remain on high warnings.
