On Monday evening, a fire erupted in a residential building in the al barsha area of Dubai, as reported by an eyewitness account shared with khaleej times.
The person who witnessed the incident, who preferred to remain anonymous, was in the kitchen with their spouse when they heard a loud sound coming from outside. ‘We initially believed it was a lift malfunction and proceeded to the corridor when we noticed people rushing out,’ they explained.
Panic rapidly spread through the building as residents hurriedly made their way to evacuate. Thick smoke was visible from multiple floors, leading to an immediate response from emergency services. Firefighters and civil defense personnel were observed arriving at the scene shortly after the incident.
The cause of the fire and the extent of any damage or injuries are still unknown to authorities. An examination is anticipated to be initiated.
