UAE’s first hybrid heliport, claimed to be the very first in the region, has been approved and will be located at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal within Zayed Port.\
AD Ports Group, Falcon Aviation, and Archer Aviation formed one-of-a-kind collaborations to change mobility and this step will revolutionize borders as we know them – integrating land, sea, and sky travel.
Hybrid in design, the heliport is meant to accommodate both traditional helicopters and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This means air taxis and eco-friendly, fast-paced travel.\
This development is most certainly a new form of transport, but also a paradigm shift in sociotechnical systems in the UAE and other countries.
