Saudi Arabia Reports No Radiation After U.S. Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites

Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday, 22 June that no radioactive effect was found in the Gulf region after a series of US air strikes on the first Iranian nuclear facilities that day. US President Donald Trump made a statement on three major Iranian nuclear sites described as a “very successful attack”.

High-profile target hit


According to President Trump, American forces launched accurate attacks on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordo, a heavy stronghold underground site that was considered a crown jewel of the long -term Tehran’s atomic program.

“Fordow is gone,” Trump said during a press briefing. “It was a strategic and essential step to ensure that Iran does not pose a nuclear threat to the world.”

Allegedly attacking in the early hours of Sunday morning, targeted features are considered central for Iran’s uranium enrichment efforts.

Saudi Arabia Monitor Fallout – No one finds


In response to widespread concerns over potential environment and health risks, Saudi officials confirmed that radiation monitoring systems across the state and the surrounding bay water showed no unusual readings.

“There is no evidence of radioactive contamination in Saudi airspace or regional water,” said a spokesman for the Kingdom’s Environment and Nuclear Security Agency. “We continue to monitor the situation closely.”

Regional stress increases


The attacks have already intensified stressful relations between the US and Iran, there is a possibility of widespread conflict in the region. Iran has so far released an official statement on the loss of damage to its nuclear infrastructure, but is expected to answer diplomatically or military in the coming days.
