Heavy Passenger Traffic Expected at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 This Weekend: Emirates Issues Travel Advisory

As indicated by a statement issued by Emirates on Friday, more than 300,000 travellers would be using Terminal 3 between April 18 and April 20, signifying that Dubai International Airport (DXB) is preparing for a busy weekend.

“Emirates” airline further stated in the advisory that during periods of peak traffic, a noticeable delay is caused when the required travel documents are not ready.

“Considering the expected high amount of vehicular traffic to and within Terminal 3, it is advisable to reach the airport well in advance,” the airline further advised.

In an effort to enable efficiency and qucik turn around times while checking in, Emirates has asked its clients “to consider the ease provided by multiple check-in opportunities,” which include:

Online check-in starts 48 hours before the flight and can be done using either the website or app. Enhanced convenience is offered as passengers who opt for online check-in will receive a digital boarding pass which streamlines the processes at the airport.

For in-person check in, the shoreside check-in desks located at Terminal 3 will open a whole day before the flight’s departure and will remain open 24 hours prior. In accordance with the escalated security measures placed on US bound flights, check in desks will open 12 hours prior to departure.

In light of busier travel periods with increased traffic and longer queues, Emirates advises passengers to allocate more time for traveling to the airport.
