Very good news for drivers in Dubai! In Hijri New Year celebrations, all public parking areas across the city will be free on Friday, June 27, the Rhods and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Wednesday.
Free parking applies to all public surface parking locations, which gives residents and visitors a cost-free way to enjoy the holiday. However, please note that multi-level parking terminals are not included in this discount and it will continue to charge regular fees.
Regular parking fees will resume on Saturday, June 28, so be sure to plan accordingly.
Whether you are going out for prayer, family celebrations, or just a comfortable day in the city, this temporary parking break is a small but welcome feature because the UAE Islamic marks the beginning of the new year.
