India will be the focus of an upcoming anchor facility set to open in the United Arab Emirates by the end of 2026 which single-handedly retails and showcases Bharat products. Bharat Mart will be located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) and is said to have over 2.7 million square feet of retail space which will host showrooms, warehouses and retail stores. This project will change how Indian products are exported and distributed through Africa, Middle East and Eurasia.
This is in accordance with the recent announcement made post the official visit of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to India which represented consolidation of further investment and trade between the UAE and India.
“Bharat Mart”, also referred to as “Indian Dragon Mart”, will feature a B2C and B2B market which will transform Dubai into a leading trading point for wholesalers, retailers, and manufacturers from India which will allow them to access a global network.
Such a facility will make logistics and supply chains easier while giving exposure to Indian enterprises, providing them with buyers from around the world. This advancement in commercial relations along with deeper integration of Indian businesses would help accelerate economic growth of the two regions.
Bharat Mart has put India and Dubai at the top of the international trade map giving both countries a shared vision of innovation and growth.”
