Across Dubai, expats are falling prey to a wave of rental scams that are removing the wallet and destroying the trust. From the “agents” that disappear after depositing in illegal flats with strangers, the nets are becoming boulders-more expensive.

These are not separate events. Extens are coming forward with chilling stories to take out one of the thousands of dirhas, forced to sleep in cars, or are not stuck to go anywhere.
A victim paid an entire year’s fare to an entire agent – not only to find the unit. One and a “fully licensed” went into the flat, evicted only by the authorities after days.
As Dubai’s fare market is hot, the scam has to face gaps in the scam and leaves many people to ask:
